Sandbach 12 - Burnage 3 16 Sat 6 October 2012 Despite going down this was a good performance from the Sandbach lads against a strong Burnage side who to be honest should have beaten us by a higher margin than the actual score. For most of the game Sandbach hanging in and tackling their hearts out. With 5 minutes to go, Sandbach slotted a penalty to take the lead and perhaps an upset was on the cards. Alas it was not to be and due to a bit of ill discipline and perhaps tiredness, Burnage scored two late penalties to seal the victory, which to be fair, Sandbach couldn't argue about.
