Today we faced a very strong Lymm squad who we knew would give us a very stern test.
We started the game on the front foot and took an early lead, but we soon found ourselves behind to some excellent Lymm tries which were all duly converted. The Sandbach boys continued to battle hard but at half time we trailed by some distance.
At half time the coaches reorganised our defence and the second half saw Sandbach really take the game to Lymm both though excellent defending and some super attacking rugby. Lymm were able to make a number of substitutions which allowed them to take further control of the game.
At the end of the game Lymm were deserved victories but full credit to all the Sandbach players who never once gave up.
Special mention to Sam Thirtle who’ playing in his first full season he made some outstanding tackles.
