Sandbach 25 - Moore 2 22 Sat 20 October 2012 Whilst the 1st team had a big match against the lead leaders, on the other side of the hedge, Sandbach took on Moore who were currently occupying the foot of the table. Despite being warned that this would be no easy game, Sandbach never seemed to get out of first gear. Moore only had a few players who could cause damage including a fullback with an excelled kicking book and a couple of big forwards. With ten minutes left on the clock, Moore scored near the posts to take the lead. Their celebration would suggest that the ref was about to blow for full time. To the contrary, there were ten minutes to go and going behind gave Sandbach the proverbial 'Kick up the Backside' they needed. From that moment on, they were dominant and to be honest a little relieved to score on the last play of the game to take four points they barely deserved. Mention must go to the prolific trying scorer Elliot Morris who went over for hatrick for what must surely take his tally into double figures for the season. Indeed special mention to Mark Morris who bailed out his penniless son and provided the time honoured jug of lager for the lads in the changing room after the game.
