Sandbach 15 - Stockport 15 Sun 17 December 2000 Sandbach scraped through to retain their unbeaten record but were lucky to escape with a draw. After going comfortably ahead with tries from Matt Smith, Tim Jervis and Chris Plumb, Sandbach then dozed off and allowed a spirited Stockport to draw level mainly due to lax Sandbach defence. Despite remaining unbeaten there are worrying signs that this team are not reaching the level that they have attained in previous seasons.
