Sandbach 26 - Stockport 59 Sun 3 March 2013 Due to injuries and unavailability of players it was a weakened Sandbach side that took on a very strong Stockport side.  Prior to the start of the game a quick loan agreement of players was agreed between the coaches which allowed Sandbach to field a full compliment of players.It soon became apparent that the Stockport scrum was going to dominate the game. From a well rehearsed move Stockport took an early lead, which was short lived as Captain Tse broke free to scorea converted try. The reminder of the half saw Stockport take total control of the game scoring, with Sandbach losing 3 more players to injury.At half time the score was 33-7 to StockportAfter some more loan players from Stockport at half time the second half saw a more competitive game, with Sandbach playing some excellent expansive Rugby, which was rewarded by the Terminator (Murray) scoring twice and Ward the Ginger whippet scoring the tries. Sandbach lost the second half 26-19 but it a much improved second half performance. It was a very difficult game for the Sandbach lads with players having to adapt to various changes in playing positions. Special mention should go to Austin and Lewis who both played their best games of the season so far.Final score Sandbach 26 – Stockport 59
