Sandbach 21 - 0 Wirral
Try Scorers: Rai Bennett, Alex Bishop, Kyran Davies
Conversions: Rai Bennett (3)
With George Cole, Matt Longdon and Ben Savage playing for Wirral (to make up their numbers) the game kicked off.
With most of the play taking place in the Wirral half, until a careless Sandbach offside, play was even for most of the first half.
Sandbach came close to scoring a try repeatedly until a brave charge by Alex Bishop resulted in a try by Rai Bennett – converted by the same.
Half Time: Sandbach 7 – Wirral 0
In the second half, despite repeated charges by Danny Jakeman and Alex Bishop Sandbach made little progress towards the Wirral try line until another charge by Alex Bishop resulted in a try – converted by Rai Bennett.
Kyran Davies then broke free to score a try beneath the post – converted yet again by Rai Bennett.
Repeated strong tackling enabled Sandbach to see off each Wirral charge until full time
