New Brighton 57 - Sandbach 10 Sun 3 December 2000 Sandbach Senior Colts Sponsored By: Protek This was always going to be a hard fixture New Brighton are having a tremendous season, having put over 100 points past Altrincham, and at least 75 past Macclesfield. The Sandbach was not entirely up to form, and at least one of their number missing, as Gareth Jones had injured his foot whilst playing Football in the JJB Stadium. Apparently he found the only hole on the astro- turf pitch. Sandbach battled hard in the first half but were 29-0 down at half time. In the second half they made a come back with unconverted trys by Ben Hall and Tom Stockdale. After the match the New Brighton Coach praised the Sandbach lads as no one had previously scored two trys past them. Lets see how this Sandbach side fares after Christmas, when New Brighton have to come to Bradwall Road, and Sandbach have a few more games under their belt.
