Acton Nomads 2 14 - Sandbach 85 Sat 22 September 2012      What a fantastic afternoon of what RUGBY is all about. Sandbach travelled with 24 players, a superb sign of the current depth of the club. With Acton Nomads only having 11 players it was good to pay them back for helping Sandbach the previous week. A huge thank you to all who played, especially those who “sort of" volunteered to play for Acton. Being some 60 points up at half time Sandbach received a lesson in knowing that a team can come back if you let your guard down. Acton scored and converted twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half before the 4th XV got back into the game running in a further 5 tries before the final whistle. The score could have been even higher if we had had our kicking books on! Oh and not to mention a slightly portly front row who ran in four tries, Si, please read the front row job description before we are all expected to run in any way at all.
